The goal of the Pennsylvania STEAM Academy is to make education fun, make education engaging, and significantly strengthen the city and the region with an innovative approach to education,

The Pennsylvania STEAM Academy is a non-profit charter school that opened in the fall of 2021. The STEAM Academy is a STEM school plus Arts. In its first year the school accepted students in kindergarten, first and second grades. Third grade and two additional kindergarten classes will be added in the fall of 2022, and another grade will be added each successive year. The school will eventually teach kindergarten through eighth grade. The school was founded by career educators and community leaders. The school’s founders have spent years creating the strongest curriculum possible, searching nationally for the most effective and interesting programs in each subject area.
