We hope to be able to reach out to the community more by becoming a partner and to inspire and connect with future scientists and engineers.

The purpose of GWIS is to further women's interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, be a support and networking group for women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics both at Penn State and nationally, and to provide a vehicle for women's recognition as scientists, engineers, and mathematicians. This organization consists of graduate students, post-docs, and faculty who are involved in technology, engineering, mathematics, and the physical, natural and social sciences. GWIS is not only committed to fostering an inclusive environment for supporting women, we also strive to attain equity and diversity in all of our activities.
