Actuated Medical is dedicated to furthering STEM, entrepreneurship, and intern opportunities in Centre county through a range of outreach activities

Actuated Medical was formed in 2006 with a mission to use motion technologies to improve medical devices. Today, the company focuses on state–of–the art, minimally invasive instruments for clearing occlusions, penetrating bone and tissue, and enabling the emerging MRI–guided surgical procedures. With an abundance of engineering expertise, a highly skilled workforce and outstanding facilities, Actuated Medical is ideally located in Central Pennsylvania. This venue allows for convenient interaction with clinicians and researchers from Hershey Medical Center, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and George Washington University. AMI has also provided internships for high school and college students where the interns run their own projects and gain real world skills critical for later employment.
